The fantastic four. Another Summerslam has come and gone and that means that a lot of stuff went down in the Barclays Center. There were some big matches going down all night long and several of them had titles on the line. Out of the thirteen matches on the Kickoff Show and main card, there were nine title matches, plus a tenth match with a briefcase on the line. So how did the champions do?

Tonight at Summerslam, four titles changed hands with five champions retaining their titles. All of the title changes took place on the main card with the two title matches on the Kickoff Show seeing the champions retain. The four title changes saw Seth Rollins defeat Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title, Charlotte taking the Women’s Title from Carmella by pinning Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey making Alexa Bliss tap out to win the Raw Women’s Title and Roman Reigns ending Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title reign in the main event.
Here’s one of those changes.
Opinion: It wasn’t a great night for the champions but these title changes make sense for the most part. Rollins winning the title should give their feud some new life (that may or may not be a good thing), Charlotte winning will set up a feud with Lynch, Rousey had to win the Raw Women’s Title and someone had to beat Lesnar at some point. At least there was a bit way to end the show, which is usually a good thing.
Which of these title changes was the best? Which shouldn’t have changed? Let us know in the comments below.
