Another kind of champion. Wrestling has been around for a long time now and there is a history of other athletes coming in to see what they can do in the sport. That is the kind of thing that can make for some interesting moments as other athletes get to try their hand at something else. It has worked for a very long time now and we might be getting to see it again on a big stage.
According to GiveMeSport, boxing Heavyweight Champion of the World Tyson Fury is in talks with WWE to return to the company later this year. The appearance, which may or may not be a match, would tie in with WWE’s Clash At The Castle in Cardiff, Wales on September 3. There is no word on what Fury will be doing on the show. Fury previously wrestled a match at Crown Jewel 2019, defeating Braun Strowman via countout.
Opinion: This is the kind of appearance that makes sense and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see Fury get back in the ring. Fury is at the point where he can do what he wants and if that includes wrestling a match in WWE, good for him. If nothing else, I’m sure WWE will enjoy the mainstream publicity that comes with someone of Fury’s stature. He did well enough in his first match so maybe he can do it again here.
How would Fury do in another match? Who would you like to see him face? Let us know in the comments below.
