That could be a big one. WWE is in a huge period of transition and it is not clear just how many more changes could be made. The biggest of these changes saw the company officially sold to Endeavor, leaving Vince McMahon a bit down the corporate ladder but still in a position of authority in WWE. However, that might not be the case due to circumstances beyond his control.

Earlier this year, federal agents executed a search warrant against McMahon in relation to alleged payments made to various women over the years, reportedly as hush money payments. Former senior counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement Jacob Frenkel spoke to the Los Angeles Times, saying that charges stemming from the investigation could result in McMahon being forced to step down as Executive Chairman of the TKO Group. There have currently been NO charges filed against McMahon and there is no guarantee that any will ever be filed.

Opinion: This is the definition of “wait and see” but the fact that this is even an option is not a great sign for McMahon’s future. At the end of the day, this is a serious situation as the federal government is getting involved with the whole thing. There is a very good chance that this goes nowhere, but it is certainly another thing that McMahon might have to dodge, and that isn’t good.
