It was big once and it can be big again. We’re nearing the end of Wrestlemania week and that means things need to change all over again. There’s a lot of stuff going on in wrestling around this time and as usual, the major focus of that world is in WWE. Things can get stale in the biggest promotion in the world though and that means it may be times to shake things up. It was done once before and next week, it’ll be done again.

Everyone’s talking about it.

Superstar speculate over next week's Superstar Shake Up: Raw Exclusive, April 9, 2018

As announced this week on “Monday Night Raw”, next week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” will see the second annual Superstar Shakeup. Similar to the old WWE Drafts, the shows will see wrestlers sent from one show to another in an attempt to change the rosters and freshen things up a bit. At the moment, there is no word on any specifics or if anyone will be exempt and staying on their current brands. The Shakeup will run over both shows, though it isn’t clear if both rosters will be changed on both nights.

You can read our live report from this week’s “Monday Night Raw” right here.

Opinion: I’m of two mindsets on this concept and only one is long term. Above all else, there’s something that changes the way things are going. With “Wrestlemania XXXIV” in the rear view mirror, it’s time to give us something fresh. The wrestlers need something to do and new people to fight so switching these things up is a good idea. On the other hand though, this week’s shows are supposed to be a big deal. With the “Greatest Royal Rumble” and “Backlash 2018” coming up, this week’s show feel unimportant because the rosters and stories may wind up meaning nothing at all. The good outweighs the bad though.

What are you expecting from next week’s Superstar Shakeup? What do you want to see changed on the shows? Let us know in the comments below.
