Backstage News on Baron Corbin's Push

Deep six everyone else. Baron Corbin debuted on the main roster last year at “Wrestlemania XXXII” by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and really hasn’t looked back since. While he hasn’t won any titles yet, Corbin clearly has the tools to become a top player. It seems that WWE agrees.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of Wrestlinginc.com, WWE is even higher on Baron Corbin than they are on Braun Strowman. Corbin is going to be in the World Title picture later in the year and will be pushed as the top heel on the show. This might include a change in music and his promo style.

Opinion: He’s big, he’s strong, he has a great look and an even better finisher. I don’t know what else Corbin needs and it’s a good sign that he’ll be moving to the top of the card soon. If nothing else it explains that Jinder Mahal is just a filler until we get to Corbin, who is one of the best options they have.
