Austin Aries Issues Official Statement on WWE Release

That’s always nice to see. One of the most surprising stories of the last few weeks was Austin Aries’ sudden release from WWE. While it’s not entirely clear whose idea the release was (some say Aries requested it, others say he was released and thrilled with the result), Aries has now issued his own statement on the matter.

Via his Twitter account, Aries has issued an official statement on his release. Aries’ statement is both positive and polite as he expresses his gratitude for his time in WWE. He also wishes everyone in the company positive futures and promises some exciting announcements in the near future.

Opinion: I always smile a bit when I see one of these statements and it’s actually positive. It’s so easy to rip into a company as soon as you leave and act like your time there was the worst of your career. There’s no reason to go about things this way as any wrestler in this situation didn’t mind the money and publicity that came from their time in that company. Aries’ response was polite and respectful and that’s a good thing.
