Things always look better after a clash. This Sunday saw “Clash of Champions 2017” come and go with “Smackdown Live” finally getting past its final pay per view of the year. The big story coming out of the show is the continuing drama between Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan but the question was where things would go after the show?

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” drew a .75 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.578 million viewers. These numbers are up 6% and 4% respectively over last week’s .71 rating and 2.481 million viewers. This week’s show was headlined by a rematch from “Tribute to the Troops 2017” with Randy Orton/Shinsuke Nakamura/AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal/Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn.

Opinion: It’s not exactly a big upgrade but any increase in viewership is better than nothing. Hopefully things continue to pick up as we’re getting closer to the busy wrestling season, which should start with a pair of Royal Rumble matches. Throw in AJ Styles needing a new challenger for his title and things should be getting better in the near future.
