It was that kind of a show. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE banner and it can be a big deal when one of them changes hands. Third, Nia Jax defeated Bayley to win the WWE Women’s Title in a title shot she earned by winning Queen Of The Ring. Finally, Gunther defeated Damian Priest to become World Heavyweight Champion when Finn Balor turned on Priest. Liv Morgan and Cody Rhodes retained their titles.

Opinion: That’s how you make a show feel important as there is little that matters more than a bunch of title changes. It makes the show more memorable as it symbolizes a new era for the champions while also giving the former champions something fresh. Summerslam was certainly a packed show and that is good for everyone involved, as it made things that much more interesting.
