Farewell. AEW has made quite the impact on the wrestling world, which is all the more surprising when you realize they have not been around that long. The company has not even been active for five years yet but they have managed to have all kinds of things take place throughout their history. Now though, two people who have helped make it happen will be taking their efforts.

A pair of behind the scenes names will be leaving AEW in the near future. First, according to Fightful Select, Dana Massie, the Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer will be leaving the company “soon”. Massie has run the company’s merchandise division and is married to Matt Jackson. Second, according to PWInsider.com, Rafael Morfi, Vice President of Live Events & Touring will be leaving after Worlds End on December 30. Morfi set up live events, touring, booking venues and marketing in local areas. He has worked for WWE and TNA and is responsible for AEW Grand Slam. There is no word on who will replace either name.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is going to happen at some point and that isn’t a bad change. Occasionally people are just going to leave for one reason or another and it can be a big deal to find the right replacement. AEW might need to make some adjustments to see how much better things can go and now they will have the chance. Those are some important departments and hopefully AEW finds the right people for the jobs.
