Out Of Many, One: WWE Crowns Best Match Of 2023 In Fan Voted Tournament

That’s the big one. We are wrapping up the year and that means it is time to start looking back on various things, including the best matches of 2023. That includes quite a few different options and the best thing that can be done is narrowing things down a bit. WWE has done just that and has now allowed fans to have their say. Things are now wrapped up and the people have spoken.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Impact Wrestling Results – December 21, 2023 (Best Of 2023 Part 1)

In recent weeks, WWE has held a tournament over social media to name the best match of 2023. The tournament featured sixteen matches with the fans getting to vote for the winners. According to Fightful, the finals saw Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns from WrestleMania XXXIX defeat Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar from Summerslam. Here are the sixteen nominees:

• SummerSlam: Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar
• WrestleMania 39: Rey Mysterio vs Dominik Mysterio
• Payback: Trish Stratus vs Becky Lynch
• WrestleMania 39: Fatal Four Way Men’s Tag Team Match
• Monday Night RAW: Chad Gable vs Gunther
• WrestleMania 39: Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair
• Money In The Bank: The Usos vs Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns
• WrestleMania 39: Drew McIntyre vs Gunther vs Sheamus
• Backlash: Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest
• NXT Deadline: Men’s Iron Survivor Match
• WrestleMania 39: Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes
• Crown Jewel: Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre
• Backlash: IYO Sky vs Bianca Belair
• Elimination Chamber: Sami Zayn vs Roman Reigns
• WrestleMania 39: The Usos vs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens
• NXT No Mercy: Carmelo Hayes vs Ilja Dragunov

Opinion: This is one of those things that you see at the end of the year and it makes for some great discussions. You can see some interesting choices here, with Rhodes pretty clearly being seen as one of the biggest deals in all of WWE. It wouldn’t stun me to see that expanding into the new year, but for now, he’s on top of the fans’ picks and that is not a bad place to be.
