The bidding war continues. As you might know, AEW has thrown the wrestling world on its head with all kinds of wrestlers trying to get in on the new promotion in one way or another. This has included several promotions competing for all kinds of talent, meaning different wrestlers are hearing a lot of offers. In this case, one of the bigger names had quite the offer from a somewhat surprising source.

In a new interview with Wrestling Observer Radio, Chris Jericho talked about an offer that he received from Impact Wrestling before moving to AEW full time. Jericho said that he was offered mid seven figures (over a million dollars) for a four match series. Jericho mentioned that he was also in negotiations with WWE and New Japan, before signing with AEW. He will face Kenny Omega at Double Or Nothing on May 25.

It should be a big one. Check out Jericho signing with AEW in a cool moment:

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise, but when in the world did Impact Wrestling have that much money? I can’t blame them for wanting to get their hands on Jericho, who is one of the biggest stars in the world and of all time. At the same time though, I can’t imagine seeing Jericho on that stage. It seems like it would be a downgrade for him as Jericho tends to be a guy who likes to go for something more interesting than the big paycheck.

Do you think Jericho will ever show up in Impact? What do you want to see him do in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
