The battle rages on. One of the most interesting stories in wrestling over the last two years has been the battle between WWE and AEW. The two promotions have been fighting it out, including a year and a half long battle on Wednesday nights. WWE’s NXT eventually backed out, leaving AEW as the only game in town on Wednesdays. There are other nights of the week though and now we are going to see another one off battle.
During an interview on WFAN Sports Radio, AEW President Tony Khan announced that AEW will be presenting a special Buy In show this week before Rampage goes on the air. The show will feature a pair of matches, including Bryan Danielson vs. Minoru Suzuki and Bobby Fish vs. Lee Moriarty, as announced by Khan via Twitter. The show will air against the second hour of this week’s WWE SmackDown.

This could work well. Check out both stars in action, plus what an AEW Buy In can look like:
Opinion: This is going to be a busy Friday and I’m not sure where it all came from. SmackDown is going to be the special Super Sized show, but suddenly we’ve gone from three hours straight to four and a half hours with overlapping coverage. The shows do look good though and hopefully they live up to the hype. I just hope that this is a one off instead of a regular idea, because it is going to get busy in a hurry.
What do you think of the idea? Which show sounds better? Let us know in the comments below.
