As we previously reported, Monday saw Impact Wrestling terminate their business relationship with Jeff Jarrett and GFW.
Since that time, Jarrett issued a statement to The Tennessean, where he had the following to say:
“I’ve spent 31 years in the wrestling business. I’m not getting out of the wrestling business.”
He did not make mention of his future in regards to what he does with GFW and if he continues to compete. He had been on a leave of absence since early September from Impact Wrestling.
Jarrett founded GFW back in 2014 and is still reportedly thought to own the brand. The agreement between Anthem, who own Impact Wrestling and GFW began back in June. That said, the deal was never officially completed.
EC3 commented on the state of Impact Wrestling in a ‘Bound For Glory’ video:
“We’re in a better place than we’ve been in a very, very long time. People can live in the past, they can hate on it all they want. I love haters, I love critics, because they are the constant drive and motivation that I have to succeed. I think that as a company, we need that as well.”
Recently retired superstar Bubba Ray Dudley took to his Twitter account to issue the following message to the TNA roster:
To the TNA locker room:
Once again…Hold your heads high and keep performing your asses off. IT HAS NEVER BEEN YOUR FAULT.
