That said, there is a tradition with WWE where they usually feature a dark match main event after any show or pay-per-view to send the fans home happy. So when in Washington, DC, what was WWE to do?
WrestlingInc has revealed what took place following ‘Raw’ in Washington, DC as per the tradition of sending the fans home happy with a dark main event.
After ‘Raw’ went off the air, Dean Ambrose would make his way to the back. Rather than having the usual match that fans are used to, Seth Rollins would reportedly give thanks to the crowd to send them home happy.
This comes after Rollins & Ambrose defeated The Miztourage in a handicap match. It is likely that Rollins & Ambrose will become number one contenders for Sheamus & Cesaro’s WWE Raw Tag Team Championship for ‘SummerSlam.’
Editor’s Note:
This was such a letdown. I thought they at least would have one small gimmick match just because it is DC. I get why WWE didn’t do more than that, feeling that the main event was enough. But still.
