While the video above, taken from Impact Wrestling which we suggest you watch, seems to indicate that El Patron is adamant about showcasing his family, we have learned over time that he and Paige want their space away from the public eye. They want privacy, but can’t seem to get it.
WrestlingInc is reporting that Paige’s family have stripped Alberto El Patron of their main Championship following the allegations made on El Patron over the past few weeks.
According to the World Association of Wrestling (WAW), it appears that Alberto El Patron has now been stripped of their WAW Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship. This is likely due to a number of factors, including the allegations that have been made against El Patron as he was also suspended from GFW. However, the main reason is undoubtedly due to the owners of WAW being Paige’s real family, with the main owner being Ricky Knight, Paige’s father. Her family has been open in them not approving of her relationship with El Patron and this was likely seen as the final straw.
The promotion has issued a statement about an upcoming 32-man tournament to crown a new WAW Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. It should be noted, however, that the promotion does not mention El Patron in the statement.
“The WAW Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship has been declared vacant at last night’s Academy Show in Costessey, following a unanimous decision by the WAW Championship Committee. The WAWCC’s decision was announced by Zak Knight but no information was revealed regarding the crowning of a new champion. Since the announcement several individuals have announced their desire to compete for the title. Both European Heavyweight Champion Robin Lekime and British Heavyweight Champion Aaron Sharp have already revealed their desire to add more gold to their repertoire, as well as former World Heavyweight Champion Brad Slayer and former European Heavyweight Champion King Kendo. With four of WAW’s top competitors already eyeing up the most prestigious title will anyone else step forward in the hope of gaining public support?
A 32 man tournament has been announced to determine a new Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion over the course of the rest of 2017 with the final taking place at Epic Studios, Norwich in December. The entrants into this tournament will be deliberated by the WAWCC over the coming weeks before brackets are announced.”

Editor’s Note:
I don’t blame the family for taking the actions they did. They don’t like El Patron doing what he is reportedly doing to Paige. One can only assume they know more about the situation than any of us do.
