‘Raw‘ and ‘Smackdown Live‘ commentator Graves tweeted that his son danced like Amore as he made second base while playing baseball, explaining that this meant he failed as a father. This appears to be him playing up his on-screen character.
While ‘Smackdown Live’ superstar Baron Corbin would respond in kayfabe, Amore would take this to the next level with his response.
‘The realest guy in the room’ explained that Graves didn’t fail as a father, he failed as a wrestler. That for many fans went beyond kayfabe and was met with a lot of negativity.
This is due to the fact that Graves had a history with concussions and due to WWE policy, they had to force him to retire but allowed him to continue as a commentator for NXT and subsequently ‘Raw,’ ‘205 Live’ and ‘Smackdown Live.’
Ultimately, Graves’ real-life brother Sam Adonis, who is a CMLL star responded to Amore’s tweet, saying that it might be time for him to go back to WWE and kick Amore’s teeth down his throat.
Here is the interaction:
My son just ran to second base, and danced like @real1 to celebrate.
I have failed as a father.

@BaronCorbinWWE I am even ashamed

This isn’t the first time Amore has been criticized for his tweets. When former partner Big Cass was legitimately injured in a Brooklyn Street Fight after ‘SummerSlam‘ on ‘Raw’ against Amore, Amore took to Twitter to joke about it. He would later apologize and wish Cass the best, but many still remember that incident to this day.
It is important to understand that this tweet by Amore likely has to do with his heel turn as Graves has been one of the most outspoken people on WWE television in reference to the Enzo Amore character. While the shot may have been low, there is no knowing whether this was an orchestrated interaction or if either man has a legitimate problem with one another. However, Wrestling Rumors will continue to provide you updates on this story if any new information does surface.
