While Bryan wasn’t victorious in the Greatest Royal Rumble match, he did leave a lasting impact in Saudi Arabia and WWE’s history books.
So how long did he last?
Bryan entered in the first spot, lasting a staggering one 1 hour and 16 minutes, as timed by WWE.com. This is longer than the record previously held by Mysterio from the 2006 Royal Rumble match. Mysterio had lasted 1 hour, 2 minutes and 12 seconds.
In the Greatest Royal Rumble match, Bryan lasted until the final three, where he was eliminated by his Backlash opponent in Big Cass, before Cass himself was eliminated by Braun Strowman. Strowman would win the match.
Bryan was still all smiles after losing in the match, as he spoke to WWE cameras. He showed the welts he received from Roderick Strong of the Undisputed Era on NXT during the match, referencing his record-setting time. Check that out:
Bryan wasn’t the only competitor to have broken a record during the match, but he certainly had one of the more impressive records not soon to be broken.
Did you enjoy the match? Are you upset Bryan lost?
