WWE have confirmed via their official website that popular independent wrestler Candice LeRae has signed with the company.

As we previously reported, LeRae was expected to start with WWE and today WWE have confirmed the Mae Young Classic standout performer will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center moving forward.

LeRae is no stranger to WWE- having made it into the quarterfinal round in the inaugural Mae Young Classic where she ultimately lost to runner-up Shayna Baszler.

She has also competed in several NXT matches, including a Battle Royal back in October where the winner would receive an opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship.

LeRae- the wife of current NXT superstar Johnny Gargano stands at 5-foot-2 and is well-known by audiences as someone who will push gender boundaries and stop at nothing to show the world how talented she is.

In fact, LeRae has in the past faced former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Cesaro in matches, if this is any indication of the perseverance and motivation of WWE’s latest signee.

Former ROH Champion Cody Rhodes also recently explained that WWE’s latest signee is one of two people he felt legitimately threatened by in the ring due to her strength.

WWE have also confirmed they have signed Trevor “Ricochet” Mann and both members of War Machine today.

Since the announcement, Gargano took to Twitter to congratulate his wife on finally making it to WWE.

Joey Ryan, who served as LeRae’s tag team partner as part of The World’s Cutest Tag Team commented on LeRae being signed.

Finally, Gargano’s former #DIY tag team partner Tommaso Ciampa broke his silence for the first time in half a month on Twitter to congratulate LeRae.
