Mann, 29, reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for the first time today.
Over his independent wrestling career which has spanned over 14 years, Mann has captured many Championships and comes to the company with a series of accolades. These include two victories in the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) Battle of Los Angeles tournament and Mann was only the second American to win the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) Best of the Super Juniors tournament. The last American winner was WWE Hall of famer Eddie Guerrero.
Mann comes from Paducah in Kentucky. Standing at 5-foot-9 and weighing 188 pounds, Mann is known for his sensational moveset full with aerial maneuvers.
Mann credits Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and The Rock as the three men that influenced him the most. It was the ‘WrestleMania XV’ match between Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin that inspired him to pursue a career in wrestling.
Just this past week, Mann said goodbye to PWG, which you can find information on here. It is also worth noting that ‘Warbeard’ Hanson of War Machine said his goodbye as he and his partner Raymond Rowe prepare to sign with WWE.
Before ending their article, WWE also teased more signings, telling fans to stay tuned to their website. Wrestling Rumors will continue to update you on signings as they are revealed.
Below we have featured a match between WWE’s latest signee and former WWE superstar Evan Bourne- now Impact Wrestling star Matt Sydal. The promotion they are competing for is DEFIANT Wrestling under the former WCPW banner.
What matches do you want to see Mann compete in? Should he keep the Ricochet name or change to Mann?
