What Does the Artist Who Wrote Jinder Mahal’s Music Think of Him?

The Express Tribune has conducted an interview with the rapper of WWE Champion Jinder Mahal’s theme song, where they speak on what he thinks of Mahal and the song itself.

Titled ‘Sher’ (Hindi for ‘Lion’), Mahal’s song has been one of the most popular amongst audiences since Mahal’s return to the company back in 2016.

On if he knew about Mahal or Jim Johnston, who he worked with before attempting to get the job:

“At that time, I didn’t know who Jim Johnston or Jinder Mahal was. Upon researching, I figured that this was going to be the biggest project of my life.”

The Pakastani-born Canadian rapper was given just two days to write lyrics for the track. Regardless of this, Kaz managed to write the lyrics within three hours and recorded the track the day after.

Kaz has always had the dream of “bringing Pakistani hip-hop on the map” as he would say. He tried for years to turn his dreams into reality, firmly leading in what he did could lead him to success. While those around him wanted him to become a doctor, he continued to pursue a career in music. His first release was ‘Fauj Da Jawan’ in 2012 and he became popular in the underground circuit afterwards.He claims his confidence has replaced past discouragement:

“I am the first Pakistani hip-hop artist to work with WWE on a track and it gives me a new confidence and pride that I can bring Pakistani hip-hop to a new level.”

On what he thinks of Mahal:

“I think Jinder Mahal is very hardworking and talent wrestler. He has been trying to build an image for a very long time and I think finally he has proven his potential to the world.”

On the parallels between the two men:

“He didn’t give up for years and he improved himself tremendously to be the world champion. I have mad respect for him.”

2016 was a pivotal year for both men, who have now gone on to much wider success.
