Austin Aries & Zelina Vega Are No Longer Together

According to Ringside News, Impact Wrestling Superstar Austin Aries has confirmed that he and SmackDown Live Superstar Zelina Vega are no longer together.

There was a time when Aries and Vega both worked under the WWE and Impact Wrestling banners together. That is obviously not the case anymore.

Aries was released from his WWE contract on July 7, 2017. This would separate the couple from competing together in the same company- despite both working for different brands already under the WWE umbrella.

As Vega’s career took off in NXT as the manager for the now-former WWE NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas, Aries returned to Impact Wrestling and the independent circuit as a huge-name draw.

Almas and Vega debuted this past week on SmackDown Live, prompting Aries to tweet a congratulatory message to Vega on her dream becoming a reality. In the process, he also confirmed they had split.

At this time, it is unknown when or why the couple split, though we expect the inability to spend time together played a large factor. They had been together since 2015.
