On his recent podcast with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, WWE on-screen COO Triple H spoke about being open-minded to bringing in independent wrestlers and trying them out to become future WWE Superstars. According to a new report, it looks like the company is looking to continue that trend with some Ring of Honor talent.
Per Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc., the company is interested in bringing in former ROH female star Mandy Leon and current wrestler “Moose” Quinn Ojinnaka.
Ojinnaka is of the old template WWE build, as he is a former NFL offensive guard. He had a tryout some time ago with WWE, but nothing panned out. It is said once his contract expires with ROH, he is likely to be brought in for another shot at the WWE Performance Center.
As Giri notes in his report, Ring of Honor works on a January-to-January contract basis, so it is unknown when his actual deal will be up.
Regarding Leon, she has been a staple of the northeast and mid-atlantic independent scene for a while now. She has also spent time as a model, and has appeared as a Rosebud in Adam Rose’s entourage in the past.
It is unknown just exactly when either could be brought in to NXT for a tryout.

Triple H has a pulse on the scene, so this should come as no surprise.
