The most television time that Tyson Kidd has gotten lately has been on E!‘s “Total Divas” program as the husband of Nattie. But if recent reports are true, there may be some changes in store.
F4WOnline.com reports that there have been discussions in WWE repackaging Tyson Kidd in the near future, likely in an attempt at getting him more television time. Kidd, currently a face, does not have any true gimmick or character at this moment.
In the past, he has held the WWE Unified Tag Team Championship alongside DH Smith, but their title run came to an end in 2010. He has gone between face and heel, at one point having Jackson Andrews as his personal bodyguard, a move which did not last long. He also received a short-lived push headed into the 2012 Money in the Bank ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship briefcase, but it panned out to nothing.
He suffered a torn knee meniscus in January of 2013, and returned this past October to television. Kidd recently participated in the WrestleMania XXX André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Editor’s Note
Tyson Kidd is about as underutilized of a talent as WWE has on its roster. Regardless of in what way, he needs television time. WWE could have a marketable, midcard babyface in him with proper booking. I hope he gets that treatment.
