WWE Magazine has spoiled big angles in the past, including in the past week, where it insinuated Chris Jericho would be making his WWE return in time for “Money in the Bank.” Now, it appears, it has done the same once again.

In the new June edition of the magazine, a Q&A is featured with former WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose. One of the questions asked Ambrose which WWE co-workers could make him laugh the most. In his answer, Ambrose referred to his Shield brethren Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as his “former partners.”

“My former partners, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. I was probably the class clown of the group so I’d usually start the joking and ribbing. But those two are hilarious. Daniel Bryan is funny too but more because he’s funny looking.”

The Shield will face Evolution in a 3-on-3, No Hold Barred Elimination match at “Payback” on Sunday. One of the big angles run throughout “Monday Night Raw” this past week was whether it would be the last time two groups would ever be in the ring together. Triple H made sure to note that no one can evade “Evolution.”

Earlier in May, reports surfaced WWE would try to milk as much as it could out of The Shield as babyfaces. While these words from the magazine should be taken lightly, plans do obviously change, and it appears a split could be on the horizon. Whether it will involve a turn by just one member or major disturbance from outside forces, such as Evolution, it does appear the end of the “Hounds of Justice” could be approaching.

Editor’s Note:

After seeing how much this point was stressed on “Raw,” I’ve been tossing around the idea of a Shield split in my mind. However, would it include Ambrose turning at the pay-per-view? Or will there be some kind of clause in the contract that was signed that would state they’d have to split? Who knows, but I’m interested.
