PWInsider.com is reporting that there was nearly a major backstage issue at the most recent set of “Impact Wrestling” tapings, one so big the show may not have happened.

According to the website, the TNA production crew has been fed up for some time about money coming in late, some not receiving their pay anywhere close to when it was due. The issue got so bad that had they not been paid at last week’s tapings, it was said that there was a legitimate possibility the crew would walk out in the middle of the tapings.

It is no secret that TNA has been cutting costs as of late as it has reevaluated its budgetary needs, but have also simultaneously been bringing in new talent. Those backstage reported to the site that there was a lot of tension behind the scenes before the tapings, and things were going to get bad if they weren’t solved quickly.

As a result, it is said that the crew was eventually caught up on pay. However, there is nothing solidified in the company going forward in that regard, and it is possible that the issue could arise again.

Editor’s Note:

This is some real bad news for TNA. You never like to hear these stories, but you can’t hold TV tapings without a production crew. Hopefully, they can avoid messes like this in the future.
