TNA is interested in a return to the northeast, and it may be targeting New York City as its prime location.

Prowrestling.net is reporting that TNA may be interested in holding three shows in New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, a venue synonymous with wrestling history. The price tag, according to the website, would run the company nearly $300,000 for the events, a number that is staggeringly high for a company with recent financial woes.

However, PWInsider.com now says that the pricing may not be as high as $300,000, and that some former executives within TNA may be trying to work the price a bit. Even so, it says there had internally been a push to get TNA to host the Slammiversary pay-per-view in New York this year, but it will ultimately be held in Texas.

The Hammerstein Ballroom has hosted many wrestling events over the years, including the ECW One Night Stand pay-per-views. It has of late been home to Ring of Honor for several shows, and has always drawn hardcore wrestling fans.
