Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose stole the show at Sunday night’s “Hell In a Cell” pay-per-view, but that didn’t mean some fans weren’t angry with the finish of the match. The ending saw Bray Wyatt make his return to WWE television in an Undertaker-esque fashion, leaving many criticizing its cartoony nature.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley took to his Facebook to comment on the matter:
“THINK OF THE PROMOS!
Don’t let the bizarre ending to #HellInACell get you down. It was a great PPV…and just think of the promos! I think this is the type of thing that will bring out the best in both men.”
The company utilized Foley to help build the Hell in a Cell match between Rollins and Ambrose, as he made reference to his epic bout with The Undertaker at “King of the Ring” in 1998. His return was a surprise, as he had not been on particularly great terms with WWE prior.
Foley has not been shy in criticizing the company in the past, so his positive thoughts following the event are a good sign for investment in the upcoming programming. He also recently commented on Ambrose using his double-arm DDT as his new finisher.
Editor’s Note
He’s right. The promos, let alone the ring action, will be incredible.
