We have received word from WWE that an initial batch of the new black-themed ‘BITW’ CM Punk T-shirt has been discovered to be defective.
The shirt, which is a black version of the popular white shirt Punk wore during the summer of 2011, has not been ‘cured’ correctly and may cause staining of other clothing when washing, according to a WWEShop representative.
The following has been issued by WWEShop.com’s Customer Service department concerning the defective shirts;
“Unfortunately, the CM Punk BITW shirts we have shipped are defective. We ask that customers please discard the shirt(s) immediately upon receiving. The shirts were not properly cured and will stain other clothing that they are washed with. We are reshipping the shirt(s) out to affected customers that do not have this defect and will be safe to wash. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
CM Punk wore the new shirt for the first time during this Monday’s edition of Raw. It is unclear how many customers have been shipped the defective shirts.
