WrestlingInc is reporting that the idea of having Kane and Daniel Bryan defend the Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 29 has been gaining some support of late. It is from there that WWE is expected to have their inevitable breakup pan out.
Ever since the Royal Rumble, the two have teased some tension. Bryan eliminated Kane in the signature pay-per-view match of the same name, only for himself to be dropped by Kane on purpose after falling to the outside. Ever since, the team has shown more hints of a breakup, including a segment in February where Kane let Bryan get beaten down by the returning Mark Henry.
Of late, however, the two have found success. They have faced the Prime Time Players on back-to-back-to-back episodes of WWE programming, losing only once when Bryan’s arm was tied behind his back. Team Hell No got the clean victory just this past week on RAW versus Titus O’Neal and Darren Young.
The two have been working together since the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, where they defeated Kofi Kingston and R-Truth for the championship belts. Though their segments have been a hit over that span, Bryan has publicly stated several times over the past month that he is interested in doing more serious angles. It will be interesting to see if that plays into the reasoning for a split.
Bryan and Kane have feuded before, as they both vied for the attention of AJ Lee alongside CM Punk last summer.
