Dolph Ziggler Cashes In MITB; Becomes New World Heavyweight Champion

Dolph Ziggler is the new World Heavyweight Champion after cashing in his Money In The Bank contract against Alberto Del Rio on Monday’s edition of Raw.

Del Rio had previously suffered a leg injury during two-on-one handicap match against Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, opening the opportunity for Ziggler to cash in his contract.

In a short match, Ziggler claimed the championship after hitting the Zig Zag on Del Rio.

Ziggler had held the briefcase since July 15th 2012, after defeating Christian, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Santino Marella, Sin Cara, Tensai, and Tyson Kidd in the Money in The Bank ladder match at the pay-per-view of the same name.
