Last month, TNA announced it would be moving “Impact Wrestling” off Spike at year’s end and on to a different network. Destination America will now be the television home of the Nashville-based company, as it will broadcast its weekly show to a smaller audience, about half that of Spike’s.
With the move will come aesthetic changes for the show and the company. TNA President Dixie Carter confirmed such on Twitter Thursday:
Just approved a new logo for @ImpactWrestling for @DestAmerica. #Killer

The re-branding is done to establish the show on its new home, and other changes are coming as well. Last week, it was revealed former WWE announcer Josh Mathews will now be the voice of “Impact,” replacing longtime TNA voice Mike Tenay. Tenay is expected to remain with the company.
It is unknown at this time as to whether color commentator Taz will be sticking around, though he does have a past with Mathews from WWE.
“Impact Wrestling” will have its first tapings on the new network in the beginning of January, with the shows taking place in New York City like the recent run the company had. Tickets are currently on sale for the shows.
This is not the first time the show has undergone a re-branding. It used to be referred to as “TNA Impact!” but was changed over the past several years, alongside a shift in its color scheme from red to blue. It is unknown at this time what other changes will be brought to the table.

Here’s to a new start, Dixie. Good luck.
