CM Punk Set For Raw Return This Monday?

CM Punk may return to WWE during this Monday’s broadcast of Monday Night Raw, it has been reported.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted by Dave Meltzer that Punk is expected to be at the show, which emanates from Punk’s hometown of Chicago, IL.

CM Punk reportedly walked out on the company on January 27, after saying he was unhappy with WWE management.

Meltzer would not confirm Punk’s status for the show, but said his source – reportedly a major WWE star – said Punk’s appearance at the show is ‘100% certain’.

WWE is yet to comment on Punk’s recent absence from WWE television. During a conference call with WWE shareholders on February 20, CEO Vince McMahon commented on the situation by revealing Punk was on a ‘sabbatical’. During his absence Punk has since been seen sitting ringside at a UFC event and also spotted at Chicago’s O;Hare International Aiport where he was seen waiting for his girlfriend – current WWE Diva’s Champion AJ Lee.

It’s not yet known how a CM Punk return would affect the WrestleMania XXX card, although the belief is that WWE will revert to it’s original plans of having Punk face Triple H at the April 6 event.

Despite this report, a fan campaign aimed at ‘highjacking’ Monday’s show has vowed to continue it’s effort to cause disruption to the show.
