Former WWE Champion CM Punk may be taking time off from live events following WrestleMania 29, several reports suggest. Punk has already been pulled from all live events heading up to the big event on April 7.
While currently being advertised for all of the post-WrestleMania RAW’s and the European tour that will follow it, it is likely that he will be pulled in order to heal from his nagging injuries. As Wrestling Rumors reported, Punk injured his arm in his match with Kane on the March 11 edition of RAW. It is expected he will be left out of the ring prior to his main event match against The Undertaker at the pay-per-view.
Though Punk is not expected to miss any TV time, his absence at live events will once again put John Cena in charge of headlining. Punk and Cena both took breaks from the ring last Fall after each had surgery on their arm and knee respectively.
