Former “RAW” General Manager Brad Maddox hasn’t been seen on television in five months since he was “let go” by The Authority. However, the 30-year-old made his return on-screen this past Monday night, solely on the WWE App.
As Eden was set to report on what happened on the show, Maddox showed up and hijacked the microphone. Below is a transcript of what he had to say:
“You remembered my name? You are so sweet. You want to know how I got here? I drove here, on my own dime. You want to know why I drove here on my own dime? Because nobody booked me a flight. Here’s a better question. You want to know where I’ve been for the last five months? I’ve been sitting at home, in Charlotte, North Carolina jobless. Have you ever lost everything? No, because you never had anything. You were never the general manager of ‘Monday Night Raw.’ And now I can’t get on my own show.
I’ve been training for six and a half years. Six and a half years, I’ve been waiting on someone to hear my voice. Not something The Authority told me to say. My voice, at some point, someone, is going to have to pay attention. By the way, you don’t have to stooge off that I was here, there’s a camera right there, I don’t care.”
Maddox hasn’t made headlines since weird cryptic videos appeared online of him after being “fired” that saw him “lost” in a cave. He recently returned at a WWE live event, losing to both Zack Ryder and The Great Khali.
With the promo, it appears Maddox will be back on WWE television shortly.
Editor’s Note
…that is, until creative forgets about it. Not a bad promo from Maddox, who has always been good on the microphone. Hopefully, this can lead to something sweet. Probably not, though.
