On Tuesday, Oct. 14, WWE taped the Oct. 17 edition of “Smackdown” in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex.

Below are the spoilers for the Oct. 17 showing of “Smackdown:”

The show began with Seth Rollins, who cut a promo on Dean Ambrose. From the beginning, Rollins drew a lot of heat, including “you sold out” chants. Rollins egged the fans on, saying the fans would sell out as well. Rollins said that Ambrose cannot handle the Hell in a Cell structure, and shouldn’t be allowed in one. Instead, Rollins claimed that Ambrose deserves to be in a straitjacket. Dolph Ziggler then interrupted the current holder of the Money in the Bank Briefcase, receiving a nice pop from the crowd. Ziggler said the fans are there to see him, not Rollins. Ziggler then delivered a drop kick to Rollins, and their match for the night went underway.

1) Seth Rollins def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler- In this non-title match, Rollins bested Ziggler with the “Curb Stomp.” After the match, Ambrose entered the fray to cut a retaliatory promo on Rollins. However, Kane would interrupt him, announcing a match between he and Ambrose to main event the show.

2) AJ Lee def. Layla- For the match, Paige and Alicia Fox watched on from ringside. AJ Lee forced Layla to submit to the “Black Widow.” Afterwards, Alicia Fox rushed the ring, but AJ Lee fought her off. However, Paige soon entered the ring, and laid out AJ with the “RamPaige.”

A backstage segment aired with Sheamus and The Usos, as they prepared for their match against The Miz and Gold/Stardust.

Another Wyatt Family vignette is shown.

3) Sheamus and The Usos def. The Miz, Goldust, and Stardust (w/ Damien Mizdow)- Sheamus picked up the victory for his team by hitting Goldust with a “Brogue Kick.”

Big Show entered the ring to cut a promo on his match with Rusev at “Hell in a Cell.” Show said he is going to destroy the towering Russian at the pay-per-view. Next, Big Show called out Mark Henry to the ring. Show asked Henry to stay out of the match at “Hell in a Cell,” and Henry agreed to do so.

4) Nikki Bella def. Naomi

5) Dean Ambrose def. Kane (w/ Seth Rollins)- Ambrose got the win via disqualification when Rollins interfered, and tugged the rope away from Ambrose while he was pinned. After the match, Kane and Rollins attacked Ambrose with a chair. Kane then delivered a powerbomb to Ambrose in order to set him up for a “Curb Stomp.” However, Ambrose grabbed the chair and attacked Kane. Rollins then scurried off to the stage, as “Smackdown” went off the air.
