Batista won the 2014 Royal Rumble match and has a guaranteed spot in the main event of Sunday night’s WrestleMania XXX extravaganza, but new reports may see him out of the championship picture soon.

Local advertisements for the April 15 edition of “Friday Night Smackdown” in Nashville, Tenn. are promoting a Batista vs. Sheamus Last Man Standing match for the show, which in all likelihood, would be a dark match for the evening. It is also advertising a match between Kane and The Big Show.

While this doesn’t mean much at times, dark match promotions often are indications of feuds. Interestingly enough, other advertisements for post-WrestleMania XXX shows have shown Daniel Bryan sticking in a program with Randy Orton, which could potentially be a look ahead at the finish of the WrestleMania main event. Bryan, should he defeat Triple H earlier in the night, will go on to face Batista and Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Editors Note:

I don’t hate this feud for either guy. Batista is a legitimate challenge for Sheamus, and I do believe the two could eventually work pretty well together. Especially if this is a feud that were to lead into Extreme Rules next month.
