The stage is set for war at WrestleMania!
Just one week ago on Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman issued a WrestleMania challenge to WWE Superstar and COO Triple H. The announcement came in the aftermath of their SummerSlam match in 2012, and the brawl earlier this month that left the former UFC Champion with stitches in his head. The catch? Paul Heyman gets to select all the stipulations for their Wrestlemania encounter, and Triple H must agree to the match and sign a contract without knowing any of them!
This week on Raw, the contract was signed, but not without the expected dose of controversy and brutality. Triple H would fight past Paul Heyman’s hired security and pin the leader of extreme up against the table, signing on the dotted line, and somewhat metaphorically on Paul’s heart. Brock Lesnar would make the save for his career-long manager, and the two retreated up the entrance ramp before revealing the WrestleMania stipulations.
Triple H will face Brock Lesnar in April in a No Holds Barred contest, but with one added stipulation. The iconic career of the “Cerebral Assassin” will be on the line, and if he should lose, it’s Game Over. But as always, Heyman might have the proverbial ace up his sleeve. Is there more to his “career” than the 13-time World Champion’s in-ring activity? Will his position of C.O.O. of World Wrestling Entertainment be on the line?
One thing is for sure, we’ll be hearing more from Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Triple H in the few short weeks remaining until WrestleMania 29.
