Former World Heavyweight Champion Abyss made his shocking return to Impact Wrestling this week, saving Kurt Angle and Sting from a handicap beat-down by the Aces & Eights.
The last time Abyss was seen in TNA, he was saving his “brother” Joseph Park from Bully Ray at last year’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Technically, the two are one in the same, so Abyss (real name: Chris Parks) really never left at all. However, his character’s return could not come at a better time, as the Aces & Eights have injured virtually every big name Team TNA could rely on – Jeff Hardy, Hulk Hogan, Magnus, James Storm, etc.
Abyss immediately made his presence felt on Impact, hitting the ring and planting Ken Anderson with a chokeslam through a table. He then caught Devon with the Black Hole Slam and picked up the victory for Team TNA. Even Sting and Angle seemed in shock while the program went off air – what’s in store for the Aces & Eights now that the monster has returned?
