The Royal Rumble is here! It’s finally time to kick off WrestleMania season, and WWE’s doing it with one of their biggest pay-per-views ever, live from the Alamodome in San Antonio. We’ve got titles on the line, and a huge Royal Rumble main event featuring the likes of Undertaker, Goldberg, and Brock Lesnar.
The last time AJ Styles and John Cena met in the ring, it was a match of the year candidate. This time, with the WWE Championship on the line, the stakes were even higher. It would be Cena’s sixteenth world title–tying Ric Flair’s record–and the winner will go on to defend the title against five other men inside the Elimination Chamber in February.
It was an awesome contest, and a strong argument as an early WWE match of the year candidate. No interference, no shenanigans, just great wrestling. Constant back and forth, finisher after finisher–and Cena pulled off the victory after delivering multiple AAs to AJ Styles.
