Elimination Chamber crowned a new SmackDown Women’s Champion last night, and she wasn’t along in her victory.
Feeling the glow along with Naomi was her husband of three years and fellow WWE superstar, Jimmy Uso. Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss to capture the blue brand’s prize, marking her first championship reign after more than half a decade in WWE.
Jimmy, of course, is a two-time tag team champion with his brother Jey, and couldn’t help teasing Naomi a bit as she learned how to put the championship belt on. The real-life marriage between Jimmy and Naomi is a regular part of Total Divas, and it’s often been referenced on regular WWE programming.
Though we imagine that will come to an end now that Naomi is a babyface champion while the Usos are playing the violent heels.
Naomi first appeared in WWE as part of the original, game-show style NXT. As with many NXT stars, Triple H was on hand to congratulate her on the first championship reign.

We expect Naomi to be heading into WrestleMania as champion, and the event takes place in her billed hometown of Orlando, FL–just a few minutes away from her actual home of Sanford.
While don’t yet know who Naomi’s challenger will be, you can be sure Alexa Bliss will want a rematch. Whether that contest makes the WrestleMania card remains to be seen.
