UPDATE: A report from Dave Meltzer suggests that this injury is, in fact, legitimate.
The bad news just keeps on hitting for WWE, huh?
The company just announced on Twitter that Seth Rollins’ right knee was injured during his encounter with Samoa Joe on Monday night.
The video below shows him leaving the arena on crutches.
The knee injury that previously put him out of action for half-a-year occurred in November of 2015.
Boy, we hope this is a storyline. WWE certainly doesn’t need another injury on its hands, especially a main event face on Raw. Finn Balor is still out, and the crowd’s response to Roman Reigns continues to be mixed–to say the least.
But much like yesterday’s reported injury to Rich Swann, we’re not yet sure if this is a work or shoot. A storyline injury would certainly make more sense here, following Samoa Joe’s Monday night beatdown.

The plan for Seth Rollins has, for months, been an encounter with Triple H at WrestleMania. It’s unclear how Samoa Joe fits into that plan, or who he’ll be wrestling at Fastlane or WrestleMania. There were reports of a Joe vs. Cena program, but plans have clearly changed since the Submission Machine appeared on Raw.
