Sanity has proven to be one of the more recent interesting additions to NXT. They’ve got a great look, a great entrance, and they’re certainly solid in the ring–though that should be expected with a veteran like Eric Young anchoring the team. Now they’ve got one more thing that every faction “needs”: an injury forcing a change in membership.
Last night’s NXT saw Sanity make their way to the ring sans Sawyer Fulton, with Eric Young taking Fulton’s jacket, throwing it to the ground, and stomping on it. The message of excommunication is clear, and now we know the reason why.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Fulton is going to be out for several months due to an arm injury. The exact nature of the problem is unclear, but it has to do with either Fulton’s shoulder or biceps.
Big Damo was teased as the new addition to the Sanity family on NXT TV. Damo has been teaming with Alexander Wolfe at various house shows, which seems to confirm the future direction for the team.
Whether Fulton will return to Sanity after his recovery, perhaps doing battle with Damo for the spot, is still up in the air.
With or without Fulton, Sanity looks to be a solid fixture in every single division of NXT. Eric Young is set to compete in a #1 Contender’s tournament for the NXT Championship, the tag team is wrecking most of their competition, and Nikki Cross already has her sights set on the Women’s Champion, Asuka.
