Alberto Del Rio has left WWE–again–and it seems that the Latino star is still the center of trouble everywhere he goes.
Del Rio, now working under his non-WWE name of Alberto El Patron was scheduled for a match at AAA’s Heroes Inmortales X show yesterday in Monterrey. He didn’t show up.
The match would have featured Alberto tagging with Psycho Clown against Dr. Wagner Jr. and Pagano. He had been promoting the match on social media in the week leading up to the event.

In a statement received by Cageside Seats, AAA expressed their disappointment. Alberto had confirmed his attendance that morning, and the company said they regretted his lack of commitment, also suggesting that he’d failed the Mexican fans who made him a star.
Alberto was first dismissed from WWE in 2014 after “unprofessional conduct” with an employee backstage who is said to have made a racist joke. He returned to the company in 2015, making a surprise appearance at Hell in a Cell to defeat John Cena for the United States Championship. He negotiated his own release earlier this year.
The Mexican star is not currently signed to any promotion, instead working independent bookings.
AAA is closely affiliated with Lucha Underground, which played host to El Patron after his first WWE departure in 2014.
