It’s him, it’s him! After a morning filled with rumors, Diamond Dallas Page has been officially announced for this year’s Hall of Fame.
We heard just a few hours ago–thanks to a Reddit post which has since been deleted–that the announcement would come today, and WWE just confirmed it. DDP was the very first name rumored for 2017’s Hall of Fame late last year, and today marked the official confirmation of the choice.
He joins Rickey Morton and Robert Gibson of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Teddy Long, and the headline name of Kurt Angle. Page has been keeping in shape, and you might be able to trace that to DDP Yoga. He competed in the Royal Rumble just last year.

Looking purely at in-ring careers, there are several names you might be able to imagine going in ahead of Page, but his behind-the-scenes role in turning around the tragic stories of several WWE legends has made a Hall of Fame spot long overdue. The most famous is the transformation chronicled in the 2015 documentary, the Resurrection of Jake the Snake.
