WWE Reportedly Issued Cease & Desist Letter to ProWrestlingTees Regarding “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Merchandise
WWE has reportedly issued a Cease & Desist letter to ProWrestlingTees.com regarding their online store selling “Stone Cold” Steve Austin merchandise. As previously reported, Austin recently claimed that there are no backstage issues or heat between he and WWE, but that there was some things that he and Vince McMahon will sort out soon.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE sent ProWrestlingTees a Cease & Desist letter in regards to their production of Austin related merchandise. Austin has had an online store through ProWrestlingTees for some time now, selling t-shirts relating to “The Steve Austin Show” and the Broken Skull Ranch. Because WWE still has some rights to the “Stone Cold” Steve Austin character, they do not want non-WWE licensed merch relating to Austin sold elsewhere.
ProWrestlingTees.com shut down Austin’s store in response. However, Austin addressed the situation on Twitter on April 14, saying that it would be back up soon. He tweets,
@MilyVanilly @ProWrestlingTs They will be back. Stay tuned.
