According to the lastest edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer, WWE is reportedly expecting lawsuits stemming from the Bill DeMott controversy to be filed soon. As previously reported, DeMott resigned from his position as head trainer of NXT due to allegations against him citing that he was abusive, both physically and verbally, towards talent that he coached in WWE developmental.
Meltzer claims that DeMott likely received a significant amount of severance pay to resign and simply walk away from the company amidst the controversy. Former talent, and former trainers such as Dr. Tom Prichard, have all commented on DeMott’s resignation, asking why the company took so long to do something about him.
WWE is reportedly expecting lawsuits to arise out of the situation, which is why they’ve been relatively quiet about it. They have made statements regarding the allegations and the investigation they performed a few years ago about it, but have used carefully considered terms of phrase and litigation to ensure no blame should be placed on them.
The company was reportedly blind-sided by the amount of people who have spoken up against DeMott and WWE’s investigation of the man’s methods and supposed abuse. They didn’t expect the former talent to ever bring up the allegations again, on the hopes that one day they may be asked to come back to their “dream job” at WWE. Apparently, more superstars are more concerned about the situation at hand than whether or not the office may call them back one day.

This situation just keeps getting stickier and sticker.
