A new report from PWInsider.com claims WWE officials consider CM Punk’s upcoming appearance on “Talking Dead” spiteful. As we previously reported, CM Punk will appear on AMC’s live “Walking Dead” reaction show, “Talking Dead,” Sunday, March 16. As he’s being billed as Phil Brooks, and Punk has yet to speak out publicly in regards to why he left WWE, company officials are nervous that Punk might address their dirty laundry on-air, and they’re scared of what he might say.
A lot of bitterness must exist between both parties at this time. WWE officials are upset over the announcement that Punk will be appearing on the program. Their beef with the situation is if Punk can travel to Los Angeles to appear on live cable talk show, he could have made some effort to get to “Monday Night Raw” in Chicago on March 3, if at least to talk things out with Vince McMahon and other WWE officials.
The ill feelings do run deeper in this situation however, as WWE officials are now burning with anticipation for March 16’s “Talking Dead.” Will Punk mention WWE? Will he reveal why he left and bury the company? Will he disclose any behind-the-scenes booking for WrestleMania XXX? There is a big feeling of anxiety backstage.
Punk left the company on Jan. 27 just before “Monday Night Raw” went live. He has remained silent in regards to the situation, staying off of television and away from his social media accounts. “Talking Dead” could prove to be another milestone in the history of CM Punk. “Talking Dead” airs live on AMC at 10 p.m.ET, immediately following “Walking Dead” at 9.
