According to new reports, the WWE Network is now offering the first month free for new subscribers, no matter the month as previously offered. WWE has been running free months as an incentive to sign-up for the WWE Network, but now, it will cease to offer “free months,” and instead offer the first month of a subscription free for all new comers.

Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com claims that July isn’t being offered as a free month per say, but that any new subscriber now will receive the first month of service free. Other Over-the-Top streaming networks offer free first months for new signees, such as Netflix and Hulu.

He writes,

“The WWE web site has removed the wording regarding the free month specific to a month. In other words, based on he current wording, anyone who signs up can get the first month free no matter when they sign up.

That’s similar to both Netflix and UFC Fight Pass. On TV, they haven’t pushed the free month idea as hard as they had in the past.”

July was originally promoted as a “free month,” however, it’s no longer listed as such on WWE.com.

Editor’s Note:

It seems as if WWE has figured out that the whole “free month” over and over again was ticking off a lot of long-time customers. Now, new subscribers will simply receive a free month before their subscription continues. Customers were also figuring out how to unsubscribe, then re-subscribe for the free month too. This shouldn’t stop that from happening, as new e-mails used to subscribe should always continue to give people free months.
