“WWE Main Event” will now air live on the WWE Network every Tuesday night at 7 p.m.ET. As we previously reported, the first of these new live editions began airing on March 4. During the program, it was announced that “WWE Main Event” will now air live each and every week.

The latest edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com suggested that WWE may take this route with the program before the official announcement was made. Meltzer and Alvarez also noted that WWE’s deal with Ion Television is set to expire on April 2, and that the partnership is not likely to continue.

Another reason that the two mentioned as to why “WWE Main Event” is going live is to continue to test the WWE Network’s live streaming capabilities. WWE is still working out the kinks in terms of the Network, and does not want to encounter any issues with their live stream on April 6 as they air WrestleMania XXX.
