The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the current card for this Sunday’s PPV is not the card that was planned out a few weeks ago. WWE officials changed their original plans for WWE Payback around 2 weeks ago. Originally, Randy Orton was scheduled to face Daniel Bryan, not team with him. This is why Orton began to be thrown into the segments and matches with Team Hell No, and why Orton RKO’d Bryan on Smackdown last week. WWE creative is said to have been rigorously re-writing and re-booking matches all the way up to minutes before Monday Night Raw episodes, which have led to the changes in the card for Payback.

The Uso twins were also scheduled to face the current WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for the titles. This is why the Usos were seen on Monday Night Raw getting a “push” entrance and a victory over the Prime Time Players 2 weeks ago. These plans obviously changed for unknown reasons, and Orton will now team with Bryan to face Rollins and Reigns for the Tag titles.
